About Me. About the Service.

Hi, I'm Keith, the owner and creator of keithgumbrell.co.uk and the signature “Your Corner.”

I'm a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Coach(coaching starting in 2027) based in Cheshire and Staffordshire, and I work with adults remotely via phone and video for counselling services, but I can extend this to face-to-face for coaching. So if you are outside these areas, please still get in touch; working remotely allows me to offer my services to everyone right across the UK.

I know what it feels like to be lost inside your own head. To overthink everything. To feel like you're showing up for your life without really being present in it. To carry something heavy for so long that you've forgotten what it felt like to put it down.

I've been there. Not as a case study. Not as a training exercise. As a person.

That lived experience sits alongside my training, work and in everything I do. I didn't come to this work because it seemed like a good career. I came to it because it changed my life — and I wanted to offer that support to other people.

What I Do

Counselling: One-to-one, online, via phone or video. I work as an Integrative counsellor with person-centred humanistic therapy at my core. For adults who are ready to stop being lost in their inner world and start understanding it.

Coaching: For people who know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start — or who need someone genuinely in their corner while they get there. (Coming 2027).

Workshops: The stories we tell about ourselves are the most powerful force in our lives. These workshops help you find them, examine them, and, where necessary, rewrite them. I am always creating more of these fun creative corners all the time. So keep checking back on that page for any updates.

Books and Poetry: Because sometimes the most powerful thing is finding yourself in someone else's words. I write fiction, children's stories, journals, and poetry — because I have never believed the creative and the clinical should be kept in separate rooms.

A Bit More About Me

I have always used my name, Keith Gumbrell. I didn’t really embrace my middle name, as I thought it was always old-fashioned. As I have grown older and grown into myself, I have realised that I kinda love it. It is a family name, and I am going to wear it with pride moving forward, both personally and professionally, in all I do. So hello, my name is Keith Leonard Gumbrell. Also, the reason it’s keithgumbrell.co.uk and doesn’t include my middle name is simply due to length; it would take hours to type all that in and check for typos. :)

Over the last few years, I trained as an Integrative counsellor and hold an Honours Degree and a Postgraduate Certificate. Everything I do, I commit to and give it the respect it deserves. I ALWAYS see things through. I work with adults on a range of issues, including anxiety, burnout, self-esteem, identity, and the general weight of trying to figure out who you are and what you actually want from life.

I also write. I have a catalogue of published books, including The Felix Adventures, Between Floors, and Pregnancy Journey — Mama, You've Got This, with more on the way. Writing and counselling are not separate things for me — they come from the same place, and they serve the same purpose. Helping people find their story and helping me find my story.
